Auction Fund Charities

Each year, three local organizations are selected to receive a portion of the Quilt Auction proceeds.  The following is information about our three selected charities for 2018.

4PAWS 4PATRIOTS
SERVICE DOGS FOR DISABLED VETS

At 4Paws 4Patriots, we combine our love and respect for American Veterans/1st responders with our love and devotion to saving a shelter dog. Whenever possible, we match an individual with a rescue dog, and they go through an extensive training class together in our program. Our caring and committed training staff are volunteer trainers who teach the individual to train his or her own dog, to be a certified ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) service dog, who will assist them with their needs. This partnership of self-training enhances the human/dog bonding process which is critical as they go through our training sessions for Basic Obedience, Public Access, and individually required Task training. During this training, the Veterans/1st responders are supported not only by our devoted training staff but also by other Veterans/1st responders who have had similar life-altering experiences.  Find out more at their web site at: www.4paws4patriots.org.
