Vicky shares her passion for all things scrappy. In this presentation, she shares all of the different types of hand work for hand embroidery, English paper piecing, big stitch hand quilting and wool applique. Vicky started quilting in January 2003. Her mom invited her to do a Saturday Sampler at her local quilt shop, then went back to the house to put the block together. She was hooked by that first completed block. The year it took to finish the quilt nurtured a deepened relationship with her mother and a passion for quilting. Her husband jokes that if he knew the firestorm of sewing that was going to be unleashed, he would have barred her from that first project. Either that, or bought stock in cotton. Vicky and her husband have a farm west of Leavenworth, Kansas. They have one son.
