Fat Quarter Exchange

 
 

The Fat Quarter Exchange is a guild activity that is fun and totally voluntary.  For each meeting. A theme is announced ahead of time in the newsletter, and if you would like to participate, bring a fat quarter that matches the theme of that month.  For every fat quarter you bring, you will receive a ticket.  At the end of the break, one (maybe two or three) tickets will be drawn and the lucky person(s) with the ticket(s) will go home with all the fat quarters brought in that night.  PLEASE bring quilt shop quality fabrics

For 2026, we have a new twist for the Fat Quarter Exchange: (Not mandatory)

Each person who wins the fat quarters will receive a pattern for a table runner.  You may use the pattern or choose one of your own.  You must use at least one fabric from those you won to make a table runner.

At the December meeting, participants will bring their table runners and guild members will vote for their favorites.  It will all be anonymous!  The top three will receive a lovely gift basket with a minimum of 20 fat quarters and other fun items. Good Luck!

The themes for 2026:

  • January - Polka Dots (Any color)

  • February - Valentine Colors (Red, White, Pink)

  • March - Greens

  • April - Pastels (Flowers)

  • May - Stripes and Plaids

  • September - Fall Colors (Gold, Brown, Reds, Yellow)

  • October - Batiks

  • November - Christmas (Winter)
