Lecture: The Smuggle Principles

Karen has been a pattern and textile designer for over 20 years, specializing in animal themes with both pieced and appliqued blocks. Her work has appeared in national magazines, books, calendars and catalogues. Her students learn what “makes a quilt sing” through concepts of color balance, using small and large scales of prints, and dramatic movement.
